Many men look stunning with long hair. Despite appearances, it is not as easy as it may seem. Would you like to change your look? Please follow our advice.
Long hair used to be the domain of women and certain groups of people like hippies, musicians and artists. Today, men’s long hair has been in fashion for many seasons.
Would you like to have one? Please keep in mind, that cutting your hair on your own may not give the desired result. It is best to place your hair in the hands of a professional hair stylist. Your stylist will give your hair the right shape, whether it is an asymmetric cut, a shaved side or a fringed one
But before that, you need long hair. Unfortunately, growing your hair is not a matter of a few days, so be patient. Here are some ground rules to help your hair grow fast and healthy. However, length alone is not enough. You have to take good care of your hair to keep it soft and shiny.
This length can be a challenge for thin, thinning and very curly hair. In addition, the hair needs at least basic styling, such as blow-drying, a good brushing and tying it up in a ponytail or chignon. Getting up and having your hair cut as soon as you get up is out of the question. While short hair does not need to be styled at all, long hair does.
Many factors play a role in the health of hair. Stress, poor diet, stimulants and improper washing of the hair are just some of them. First of all, remember to use lukewarm water (cold and hot are not good choices) and of course, dedicated shampoos and conditioners.
Washing your hair with regular shower gel is out of the question. This way you will not take care of it. Overly aggressive products with detergents like SLS or SLES may also dry out your scalp, which in turn will lead to dull and rough hair. Contrary to popular belief, your hair does not usually require daily shampooing.
If you are at the point of using a hair dryer, use only the cool setting and direct the air in the direction of hair growth. Never run a comb or brush through your hair as this will only damage it.
It’s best to start growing your hair on the crown of your head. This is one of the best and most natural ways to avoid the ‘neglected’ look. What does this mean?
Allow the top layer of hair to grow in more and more, while regularly combing the sides. It’s not a good time to wear hats for hours on end. Not only do they ruin your hairstyle, but the longer hairs also sweat more easily underneath them, which can lead to itchy, unpleasant sensations. Growing hair, on the other hand, can be styled any way you like using gel, paste or any other product.
Then it’s time to grow out the remaining layers (although you may only need a longer top). Here, you can either let them grow freely or grow them out in batches, trimming smaller and smaller areas.
The mushroom stage may not look too good, but you have to wait it out. In the meantime, all you have to do is find a hairstyle that works for you – braids, a bun, a ponytail, pulling the sides back?
Once you’ve got strands of the right length, make sure you trim the ends regularly – split or dry ends look really bad. Depending on your hair type you may want to use dry shampoo, volumising sprays or various smoothing and conditioning oils. Long hair needs regular care and you must not forget about it.
