Style lesson: what did we learn from Justin Timberlake?

It takes approx. 5 minutes to read this article

Once with noodles on his head and experimental clothes, now with a trendy parting and perfectly tailored suits or comfortable chinos. Justin Timberlake’s style has evolved and is now worth emulating.

Justin Timberlake – from Mickey Mouse Club to superstar

on January 31, Justin Timberlake turned 40 years old. His career began when he was just 11 years old – he joined the “Mickey Mouse Club,” Disney’s music program that was a forge for talent (like him, his later great love Britney Spears participated in the club, but also Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling).

At the age of 14, he formed the boy band *NSYNC, and after another seven years and three released albums, he set his sights on a solo career, and as you can see, it has paid off handsomely. Each of his albums has been a huge success, and for some of the songs he has invited famous guests such as Timbaland, T.I. and will.i.am, Mariah Carey, Nelly or Jay-Z, among others.

Justin Timberlake is not only a singer and songwriter, but also an actor and entrepreneur. Among other things, he founded a music label,

Moreover, he is considered to be one of the best-dressed artists. He had already dealt with the world of fashion in 2005, when he and a friend presented the William Rast clothing line, which included corduroy jackets, polos or jeans. Then in 2018, he collaborated with Levi Strauss & Co, resulting in the Fresh Leaves collection, and with Nike.

Privately, Timberlake has been in a long-term relationship with Jessica Biel, with whom he lived to see two sons.

How has Justin Timberlake’s style evolved?

Undoubtedly, we all remember the oxidized curls on his head, which resembled noodles from Chinese soups, and many strange hairstyles, to say the least. He also once had a weakness for colored glasses and earrings. I think everyone remembers his denim total look from 2001, when he appeared with Britney Spears at the American Music Awards gala in Los Angeles.

With his age and his life and work experience, his style has evolved and is now imitated by many men around the world. Justin is a perfect example that style and good taste can be earned.

Now his style is based on classic elements. He likes plaid shirts and hats, with which he is still associated today. Additionally, he more often chooses muted shades in his outfits, for example with red accessories. Each time he skillfully combines casualness with elegance. He abandoned experimenting with fashion in favour of perfectly tailored suits, jackets, leather jackets and trainers, and classic glasses (usually corrective).

Fashion by Justin Timberlake – what to incorporate into your outfits

As we have already mentioned, style can simply be learned, as Justin Timberlake’s example shows. You also need to follow the principle of being fashionable, but above all comfortable. And it is not all about worn-out jeans and hoodies.

A plaid shirt, for example, can be worn every day with different pieces, such as a sweater or a button-down cardigan, a leather jacket or a blazer. In warmer weather, roll up the sleeves for a lighter, more casual look.

When it comes to outerwear, there is of course the classic leather jacket, which can be matched with almost any outfit. Justin is also seen wearing a short trench, which is also a good and comfortable choice, because you don’t have to worry about it creasing after leaving the car or sitting for a long time.

Timberlake has never shied away from accessories. As in the past he did not choose them very skillfully, now he shows that they can emphasize the whole look and complete it. If you do not dare to wear a hat, opt for a safer helmet. Remember also about the scarf – when the everyday outfit is rather monochromatic, it is a good element which can brighten up the whole look.

Justin also often chooses fabric pants with pockets, which are soft, loose and very comfortable. He also adds moccasins, half-shoes or, for a change, sports shoes. This outfit can be styled and changed as needed.

If you wear glasses, they should fit your face – not too small, not too big and in a classic color, unless the frames are supposed to be your ‘style accessory’. The look is completed by an elegant parting of the hairstyle.

How to care for white shirts?
Every man has his favorite white shirt in his closet. However, not everyone knows how to take care of it. Collar, cuffs, sleeves, button fastenings - shirts have a complex cut full of many nooks and crannies that can easily get dirty or damaged. If you're tired of deodorant stains, folds, and other signs of premature wear and tear on this garment, read this article. Here's how to take care of your white shirts. Buy quality shirts First of all, remember that you should always, or at least often, put quality over quantity. A 65% polyester and 35% cotton shirt made in Bangladesh for £50 will not last you for years, even if you try to look after it. Although the price is not a guarantee of quality, it is worth paying attention to the material. Look closely at what the shirt is made of, how it is finished and make a checklist of points to check. When all of these points are "ticked off," you will know that a particular shirt will last with you for at least a few years Don't always wear the same shirt A practical rule of thumb for keeping clothing in good condition is to avoid over-wearing it. Just like with a pair of nice shoes, don't put on the same white shirt several times a week! The more times you put it on, the sooner you'll have to say goodbye to it Choose the right wash program The washing machine is a good friend to men, but it can quickly become your clothes' worst nightmare. For white shirts, try to follow the directions on the label. If you're not sure how to wash your shirt, don't go above 40° and don't wash it by hand. Also take care of the washing cycle, do not overload the machine and pay attention to the colors of the clothes you put into it. Wash white shirts only with other white clothes and use a special white washing powder. If necessary, use a stain remover before washing Avoid the dryer, just use a good hanger Once your shirt is clean, take it out of the washing machine as quickly as possible so that it doesn't wrinkle too much and absorb the unpleasant smell caused by moisture. Even if you have the option of putting it in the dryer, don't. Your best bet is to lay the shirt out on a fairly large wooden rack and stretch its sleeves well to keep them from creasing. This will make ironing easier later Make sure the shirt is clean before ironing Before ironing, take a close look at your shirt to verify that it is clean. If there is still a little dirt on it, wash it again and then let it dry. Stubborn stains can come from laundry detergent if you poured too much of it into the washing machine. Hang up your shirt properly If your shirt is clean and ironed, it's time to put it in the closet. After ironing, wait for the fabric of the shirt to cool down. Avoid metal hangers that can distort the sleeves. The hanger should be made of wood or plastic with fairly wide edges and, if possible, rounded on the sides Make sure your deodorant has dried before you put on your shirt Deodorants in beads or sprays provide an "anti-yellow stain" effect. However, yellowish underarm stains can still appear on your white shirt. To solve this problem, remember to wait for the deodorant to dry before you put on your shirt. Wet deodorant should not come in direct contact with the fabric
